Privacy Policy
GasSaver Live ("we", "our", "the app") helps drivers find and compare fuel prices. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have. Contact: support@gassaverlive.com
Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, we receive your name and email address from Google Sign-In. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Location. When you use "Near me", search, or "Search in this area" on the map, the app uses your device location or the place you type to find nearby stations. Location is used at the moment of the search; we do not track your location in the background and we do not build a history of your movements.
- Content you submit. Prices you report, fill-ups you log, stations you favorite, price alerts you set, your preferences (such as fuel type and compare mode), and issue reports you send. Fill-ups and favorites are private to your account; prices you report become part of the price information shown to other users, labeled as user-reported.
- Technical data. Basic device and app information needed to run the service (such as app version and error logs). We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and the app contains no ads.
How we use it
To operate the app: show nearby stations and prices, keep your favorites, alerts, preferences, and fill-up log working, compute your savings estimates, prevent abuse of price reporting (rate limits), and fix errors. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers below, only as needed to run the app.
Service providers and map data
Station information, maps, and many displayed prices come from Google Places and Google Maps. When the app fetches stations for an area, the search location is sent to Google; Google's handling of that request is covered by Google's Privacy Policy. Displayed Google prices always carry Google's own update date in the app. Regional average prices come from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) public data and involve no personal information.
Data retention and deletion
Your account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time inside the app (Profile → Account → Delete account) or from our public deletion page at gassaverlive.com/delete-account — deletion removes your account information, favorites, alerts, preferences, and fill-up log. Prices you reported may remain in aggregated, unattributed form as part of the price database. Backups are purged within 30 days of deletion.
Your choices
You can use the app's public features (station search, prices, map, deals, calculator) without an account. Signing in is only needed for personal features. You can decline location permission and search by ZIP code or city instead.
Children
GasSaver Live is intended for drivers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We will update this policy as the app changes and will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
